# How many companies should be on my target company list?

Start with 100 companies. This isn't the definitive list of where you'll end up — it's a working starting point for segmenting resumes, setting up job alerts, and directing recruiter outreach. You'll add and remove companies as you go. Your CSM creates the initial list and you approve or revise it.
