I'm good at one aspect of product management (like customer discovery). How do I position that without over-rotating in interviews?
Your strength is an asset, but be careful not to make every answer about that one thing. Interviewers are evaluating you across multiple dimensions simultaneously — product sense, execution, analytics, leadership, communication — and if all your answers circle back to one domain, it can signal gaps in others. In interviews, you have to demonstrate the full range, even if the role eventually lets you lean into your superpower. The opportunity to specialize happens after you have the offer. Your CSM will catch any over-rotation in your resume positioning, and your coaches will flag it in behavioral prep. In interviews, the goal is to show broad competence first, then differentiate.
