I've been held back by imposter syndrome and haven't been applying to top AI companies. What should I do?
Apply. If you have substantive, relevant experience — especially if you've been working in machine learning or AI for years — top AI labs are appropriate targets. The companies that are hardest to get into (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) are specifically looking for people with deep, longitudinal experience in the space, not people who recently completed a bootcamp. If you've been building AI and ML products for a decade, that's exactly the profile they want. Imposter syndrome is common and real, but it can hold you back in a tangible way if you let it determine which companies you apply to. At PCA, the default assumption is yes — you should apply unless your CSM or coach explicitly tells you otherwise.
