# I feel like the job market is really tough right now. Should I be worried?

Be aware of market conditions without letting them dominate your mindset. Offers are still coming through — even from companies that are simultaneously doing layoffs, since layoffs and hiring often happen in different departments. Candidates who lean into their specific, specialized skills are getting more traction than generalists. Consistent daily action — outreach, applications, interview prep — is what separates the people getting offers from those who aren't.
