How do I navigate an interview for an outbound or commercialization-focused PM role?

Outbound PM roles have a different center of gravity than core product roles. Beyond the usual product sense and execution questions, expect questions on pricing strategy, packaging, positioning, and go-to-market sequencing. Come prepared with a point of view on outcome-based pricing versus cost-plus pricing, how you'd think about bundling, and how you'd collaborate with sales and marketing. Ask the recruiter explicitly whether the interview will lean more toward domain knowledge, past experience (behavioral), or forward-looking product vision — many outbound roles mix all three. Prepare your behavioral stories with a commercial lens: not just "here's what I built" but "here's how it generated revenue, reduced churn, or opened a new market."
