How do I prepare for a highly technical AI/ML interview when my background is more product-focused?

Two tracks simultaneously. First, build foundational comprehension: broad AI and ML concepts, system architecture, data fundamentals, cloud infrastructure, and model-layer basics. You don't need hands-on coding depth, but you need to understand how the pieces fit together so you can't be caught off guard by a basic terminology question. Ask ChatGPT to generate structured curricula for the specific areas the role touches. Second, never lose the product fundamentals: communication structure, user empathy, business framing, and logical reasoning don't disappear in technical interviews. Every answer — even a deeply technical one — should be structured, tied to the user or business where applicable, and concise. Post a mock request on PCA Pilot so coaches can review and give calibration feedback, and ask your CSM to set up specific prep homework with Serge for the technical components.
